Glyndyn is one of Victoria's best surfers of all time, one of the few that have made it onto the WCT. Learning to catch waves standing in a dugout canoe in the Solomon Islands, with brother Tony as a grommet. Glyndyn got his first taste of competitive surfing in the Phillip Island Boardriders and quickly progressed to the ACC, WQS then as a world class surfer on the WCT.

Always a smiling face, if Sandy isn’t charging big Shippies or nasty Express, he’s in sorting out your new board or pushing kids into waves on Smiths Beach.  The boss’ son, Sandy has grown up at Island, and knows the business, as well as the Phillip Island surfing community in general, inside out.

Kev has been involved with the Phillip Island surf industry for around 20 years. Kev came to Island a few years back with a huge amount of experience, gained through one of the company's competitors. Rider of all crafts, including kneeboards, surfboards and a recent indulgence in SUP's, Kev is the head of the surf hardware department in the Cowes store.

The most recent addition to the Island team, Bucky has come to the company with plenty of experience in the Phillip Island surf industry. A master of all trades, Bucky likes to divide his time between everything from surfing, SUP'ing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and of course his favourite thing in the world, working!

As Island’s head Surf Coach, Simon is well-known in the industry for his teaching skills, as well as for being an all-round top bloke. The Smiths Beach store guru, Rich has spent almost a decade at the company. He comes from an experienced background in the industry, and has a wealth of knowledge, especially in the hardware and equipment areas. In his spare time Rich loves to chill on the hill, where he fosters quite a nice little flock of turkeys.

Surf coach, local identity, industry player, Mal is all of these bundled into one. He’s been in the scene since the beginning, and he’s got plenty to show for it.  As well as playing the role of coach with the surf school, Mal also runs a high performance clinic, as well as a group for girls on the Island to get together and surf.

Will has worked for Island Surfboards since 2002. Will originally hails from the Victorian Highlands, where he grew up as a keen skier.
